Thirty-two bishops representing the 65 ELCA synods met with congressional leaders in Washington, D.C., for the 2014 ELCA Bishops’ Advocacy Convening, March 31 – April 2. The meetings focused on the ELCA’s commitment to advocate for public policies that create opportunities to overcome poverty, promote peace and justice, and care for creation.
