In Junction City, Ohio, New Lebanon Lutheran Church runs the Shepherd’s Table feeding ministry. The congregation works with others in its town to make sure that every Tuesday there’s a free meal available to those who need it. By thinking creatively, Shepherd’s Table was able to safely continue providing prepared meals during the COVID-19 crisis – and double the number of people it feeds. ELCA World Hunger launched an emergency round of grants to help 200 congregational feeding ministries, including Shepherd’s Table, meet increasing needs due to COVID-19.
