Every day, Living Lutheran offers a prayer from the ELCA resource Prayer ventures, which can be downloaded here. These daily petitions are offered as a guide for your own prayer life as together we pray for the needs of the world and give thanks for the ministries of our church.
Sunday, April 16 The story of Thomas, who was skeptical when Jesus first appeared to the disciples after his resurrection, is not unlike our own when we feel doubt and yearn for proof of God’s presence and love. We ask God to forgive our uncertainty, and we pray that our faith, like Thomas’, will be renewed, so that we, too, might proclaim of Jesus, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28).
