Every day, Living Lutheran offers a prayer from the ELCA resource Prayer ventures, which can be downloaded here. These daily petitions are offered as a guide for your own prayer life as together we pray for the needs of the world and give thanks for the ministries of our church.

Sunday, June 23 “Waking up, [Jesus] rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Be silent! Be still!’ Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm. He said to [the disciples], ‘Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?’ And they were filled with great fear” (Mark 4:39-41). We pray for the Spirit to strengthen our trust in God in the face of every challenge and situation that tests our faith.
