Today we are sharing a few prompts to encourage you during your personal spiritual time. We hope this collection will inspire you to be kind to yourself and others as you move through your week and head into the weekend.

Scripture:
O God, you are my God; I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you (Psalm 63:1-3).

Journal reflection:
Define “steadfast” in your own words.

How have you experienced God’s steadfast love in your life?

Prayer from Bread for the Day:
You remain with us, O God, even as we traverse long, arduous stretches of spiritual drought. When we are weary and spent, water our wilted spirits and raise us up to verdant, flourishing life in you.

Hymn from Bread for the Day:
“Beneath the Cross of Jesus” (ELW 338)

Affirmation:
God’s love renews and upholds me each day. I find peace and strength in the Most High.
