As we near the end of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the contributions of Latiné and Hispanic leaders, congregations and ministries in the ELCA.
Scripture
“For as in one body we have many members and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another” (Romans 12:4-5).
Prayer
Gracious God, we thank you for the gifts and contributions of our Latiné siblings in faith. May we celebrate the richness of our diversity and strive for unity in Christ. Amen.
Hymn
“Holy, Holy, Holy” (“Santo, Santo, Santo”) (ELW 473)
Affirmation
In our diversity, we find strength and purpose, reflecting the love of Christ in our shared mission.
The stories that emerge from the ELCA’s Latiné community—from pioneering pastors to dynamic lay leaders—inspire resilience and faith. We thank and celebrate the leaders who are drawing the ELCA into a vibrant future when we will embrace all cultures within the body of Christ, fostering unity and love in diversity.
