Beth Elness-Hanson is currently on a leave of absence as associate professor of Hebrew Bible at Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa, for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellowship funded by the European Commission and managed by VID Specialized University in Norway, where she has also been a part-time associate professor. She served as an ELCA volunteer at the MaaSae Girls Lutheran Secondary School from 2002-2004.
